Our lodge choice for this trip offers us a variety of waters to fish, with stunning views of the fishery from the accommodation terrace. You will fish the waters of Acklins island, both inside the atoll and also have shots at oceanside fish when weather is favourable. Bonefish population here is excellent with a good average size of fish three to five pounds, and a number of larger specimens too. Guides are well versed in all species and you should encounter Triggers, Permit, baby Tarpon, Barracuda, Sharks, Jacks, Snapper and if you wish to try outside the reef we have access to larger boats to give you a break from the flats and chase all kinds of reef and bluewater species.
This is Bahamas flats fishing at it's best with a huge fishery and hence less pressure than many of the smaller islands. The atoll formation caused by Crooked and Acklins islands gives us an enormous area to cover and local prefessional guides know it extremely wel, giving us optimum chances to target the Bonefish and many others.
A family run lodge with outstanding history and reputation, warm friendly staff, cool amibience and a homely feel.
It was here in 2015 that an unofficial world record Permit was caught. One very fortunate man, on his first ever flats fishing trip, managed to hook and land a 60lb fish and there are many, many large Permit to target. Toughest fish on the planet, but they do eat occasionally. Can you be lucky?
